James W Norton Signed Iridescent Art Glass Vase, Jim Norton Glass Artist, Canadian Art Glass Vase

This lovely art glass vase was produced by the late Canadian glass artist James (Jim) Walter Norton and signed/dated "James W Norton 1984(?)". (pic #4) The date is hard to read. I assume this is an an uncommon or early signature, as the only examples I can find online simply read "JNorton" and are rarely dated.

The vase measures approx 10" tall by 4" wide, and features a baluster form with deep yellow glass over white interior, iridescent gold and multicolour spatters. The iridescent gold has a crackly texture. The base is ground flat. 

Condition - very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a number of grey marks around the inside of the neck, which resemble rub marks or scratches and smooth to touch. (pics 7-8).
